“…In this equation, refers to the cuvette (1 cm × 1 cm) and the concentration of the pigment solution is 1%; A means the absorbance at the maximum absorption wavelength ( λ max ) of the pigment solution; V (mL) means the volume of the pigment solution; m (g) meansthe quality of the pigment. The color properties of the pigment were evaluated in terms of the CIE L*a*b* system [ 28 , 29 , 30 ]. Where L* is the brightness, a* is the green (-) or red (+), and b* represents the blue (-) or yellow (+).…”

“…6 The attribution of color to these matrices occurs with the insertion of chromophore ions; transition metals such as V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu are commonly used for this purpose. 7 In general, the use of inorganic compounds tends to increase the chemical and physical stability of the pigments, 8 ensuring greater durability.…”

“…21,22 Mn 5+ in a tetrahedral coordination is reported to be turquoise or sky blue. 19,23 In these pigments, monovalent Mn is required to avoid color impurity and low chromogenic efficiency. Most previous reports have taken efforts to stabilize the desired Mn valence state by controlling the Mn concentration and/or reaction conditions.…”

“…Intense color in inorganic solids can arise through d–d electron transitions, charge transfer (CT), or intervalence CT within a chromophore. Manganese (Mn) is an extraordinary chromophore in that its unfilled 3 d electron shell and variable oxidation states can render rich color regions from specific electronic transitions. Mn 2+ doping into ZnO 4 tetrahedra of α-Zn 2 SiO 4 yields a yellowish glass . Mn 3+ displays an intense bright blue or violet color when it is hosted in trigonal-bipyramidal 5-coordination in Y(Ga, In)O 3 and melilite structured LaAlGe 2 O 7 . ,, Mn 4+ in a different host could be green, red, or brown. , Mn 5+ in a tetrahedral coordination is reported to be turquoise or sky blue. , In these pigments, monovalent Mn is required to avoid color impurity and low chromogenic efficiency. Most previous reports have taken efforts to stabilize the desired Mn valence state by controlling the Mn concentration and/or reaction conditions.…”
