Complex life patterns in the 21st century require humans to master certain competencies and skills to adapt to life. Critical thinking ability is one of the important abilities to be mastered by today's students. This study aims to analyze the influence of culture-based discovery learning model learning. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. A total of 55 elementary schools and fifth-grade students were involved in this study. The experimental class consisting of 27 students was given treatment in the form of culture-based discovery learning, while the control class, which consisted of 28 students, was given conventional learning. Research data collection was carried out by giving tests of critical thinking skills in mathematics to two post-learning classes. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive data analysis and inference analysis through two independent sample t-tests with a significance level of 5%. The results showed significant differences in critical thinking skills between students taught through the culture-based discovery learning model and those taught through conventional learning models. The average critical thinking ability of students taught through the culture-based discovery learning model is higher than that of students taught through conventional learning models. It was concluded that the application of culture-based discovery learning can improve the critical thinking skills of elementary school students.

Hasil belajar IPA pada sekolah dasar masih rendah dikarenakan cara belajar siswa yang masih kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa sehingga perlunya penerapan model pembelajaran yang bagus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model discovery learning berbasis masalah kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar IPA dan self regulated learning siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen) dengan rancangan penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Populasinya yaitu Kelas V SD sebanyak 252 orang siswa. 53 siswa terpilih sebagai sampel yang ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Metode tes objektif pilihan ganda untuk mengukur hasil belajar IPA dan metode non tes berupa kuesioner untuk mengukur self egulated learning siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan Manova dan Anava. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh secara simultan model discovery learning berbasis masalah kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar IPA dan self regulated learning siswa diperoleh (F sama dengan 31,105; sig. kurang 0,05). Terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning berbasis masalah kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar IPA (Fhitung sama dengan 19,512 lebih dari Ftabel sama dengan 4,030). Terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning berbasis masalah kontekstual terhadap self regulated learning siswa (Fhitung sama dengan 35,441 lebih dari Ftabel sama dengan 4,030). Penerapan model discovery learning berbasis masalah kontekstual berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dan self regulated learning siswa.

The students' motivation in learning Civics (PKn) is still low, and there are many students whose learning outcomes do not exceed the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) set by the school. This research aims to analyze the Make a Match model assisted by audio-visual media in relation to the motivation and learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consists of two classes, namely Class IV A and IV B, selected through simple random sampling. Data on learning motivation is collected through a questionnaire, while learning outcomes are measured through multiple-choice and essay tests. The analysis techniques involve both quantitative and qualitative analyses. The results of the research show a significant difference in motivation and learning outcomes between students who learn using the Make a Match model assisted by audio-visual media and those who learn through conventional teaching models. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Make a Match model assisted by audio-visual media has an impact on improving the motivation and learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at UPTD Elementary School in Civics. The implication of this research is that the Make a Match learning model assisted by audio-visual media can facilitate teachers in teaching and depict the learning process realistically, providing a more meaningful learning experience for students.
