Discovery and investigation of open star clusters in the Milky Way

Abstract: During the recent decade, many investigators searched for new clusters using data from large surveys. In this paper, we review the results of these studies and discuss the methods used to derive physical parameters of open clusters. (© 2013 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
