Abstract: Nitro-containing compounds have emerged as important agents in the control of tuberculosis (TB). From a whole-cell high-throughput screen for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) growth inhibitors, 10 nitro-containing compounds were prioritized for characterization and mechanism of action studies.
