Direct probe of spectral inhomogeneity reveals synthetic tunability of single-nanocrystal spectral linewidths

Abstract: The spectral linewidth of an ensemble of fluorescent emitters is dictated by a combination of the single emitter linewidths and sample inhomogeneities.
