“…The IOGAPS and related samplers (Gundel and Lane 1999;Kamens et al 1999) can provide more accurate measurements of the concentrations of the gas and particulate phases of SVOC than conventional ltersorbent samplers. The improvement in accuracy depends on the vapor pressure of the SVOC, as shown for the polycyclic aromatic compounds (PAH) (Lane and Gundel 1996;Gundel and Lane 1998) as well as pesticides and halogenated species , and ranges from zero to 100%.
