“…a b s t r a c t 28 Thermoluminescence (TL) of poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) and PVK + 40 wt% of 2-tert-butylphenyl-5- 29 biphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBD) blend, both doped with 1 wt% of fac-tris(2-phenylpiridine) iridium 30 (Ir(ppy) 3 ), were studied. TL spectra, registered in temperature range 15-320 K, reveal that trapping sites 31 localised on the matrices and on Ir(ppy) 3 molecules exist in both investigated systems.…”

“…Thus, the energy of some sites of PVK matrix localised in neighbourhood of the dopant can be lowered and these sites might work as slightly deeper traps as compared with those in undoped PVK. It should be underlined that the presence of polar additives has an influence on the transport process in disordered molecular solids and such effects were reported and analysed by many research groups [25][26][27][28]. The effect of dipolar disorder was also studied by using the TL method [29,30].…”

“…The standard deviation (σ DOS ) of the DOS is consequently a convenient parameter to characterise the underlying energetic disorder of the associated lattice and may be determined through application of the GDM to mobility data [3,4,7]. In the present work the continued ability of a Gaussian distribution to describe the DOS of DG lattices into which OC regions were introduced was first examined.…”

“…Such experiments have generated a valuable database of mobility parameters for a diverse range of organic materials. An interesting subset of this data is focussed upon organic materials whose transport occurs via hopping processes which are controlled by energetic disorder due to background dipole electric fields [2][3][4]. Such hopping systems frequently involve redox reactions between pole moment.…”
