Dipole Antennas

Abstract: Dipole antennas and their associated arrays are among the most common antennas used for communication systems and measurement of electric and magnetic fields. This article describes the basic nature of these antennas and some of their applications. Variations such as biconical and bow‐tie antennas, slot dipoles, folded dipoles, sleeve dipoles, and shunt‐fed dipoles are also described.
