The main requirements for a screening test are simplicity, non-invasiveness, safety of testing procedures, high processing speed, and ability to detect diseases at an early stage. A multichannel gas analyzer for assessment of exhaled air composition (diode laser spectrometer), non-invasive screening, and biomedical testing was developed on the basis of near-infrared diode lasers with fiber output. The device measures the following exhaled air components: 12 CO 2 , 13 CO 2 , CH 4 , NH 3 , H 2 O, and H 2 S.The concentration of molecules was measured in a multi-pass Herriot cell with a reference length of 40 cm, 1.8 L volume, and a total optical path length of 26 m. Three diode lasers manufactured by NTT Electronics (Japan) were used in the work. Detection of CH 4 was carried out in the 1.65 μm wavelength range, 12 CO 2 , 13 CO 2 , and H 2 S levels were measured in the 1.60 μm range, NH 3 and H 2 O in the 1.51 μm range. All measurements were taken in real time.Clinical testing of the spectrometer was carried out at V.M. Buyanov City Clinical Hospital of Moscow Department of Health. More than 150 patients were examined. The tests included analysis and measurement of these molecular components in the exhaled air of patients with various diseases. The content of these components was studied in conditions of various changes in the human physiological state (dosed physical activity, relaxation, psychoemotional stress, etc.).The studies have demonstrated efficacy of using the developed hardware system for assessment of exhaled air components in order to reveal functional disorders in various diseases of the digestive system, cardiorespiratory system, diseases caused by impaired nitrogenexcreting function of the kidneys, etc.

The results of experimental studies of the absorption spectra of pure NH3 at room temperature in the range 6611.6 - 6613.5 cm-1 and pressure range (up to 0.01 atm.) are presented. The measurements were carried out at the Department of Diode Laser Spectroscopy of the Institute of General Physics on a high-sensitivity high-resolution diode laser spectrometer with a signal-to-noise ratio of ~ 1400. The spectra were analyzed using a Voigt contour. The results of reconstructing the parameters of spectral absorption lines are presented: the positions of centers, intensities, coefficients of collisional self-broadening and shifts. A comparison was made with the parameters of the HITRAN database. A ~ 2-fold difference in intensities was found. Ammonia is one of the most common chemicals in human activity, is a waste product of living organisms and one of the most important products of the chemical industry. Ammonia is used to produce nitric acid, nitrogen fertilizers, explosives, etc. Ammonia is toxic and, along with such molecules as CO, NO, CH4, 13CO2, is a biomarker molecule1,4. These circumstances lead to the need to ensure continuous monitoring of ammonia and the development of reliable, low-cost measuring instruments in the environment, food industry and medicine. Currently one of the most highly sensitive and highly selective modern methods of gas analysis is diode laser spectroscopy. However, the realization of the advantages of this method is largely determined by the quality of the spectral data basis used, represented by the HITRAN database. One of the promising spectral ranges for monitoring NH3 is the region 6604 - 6613 cm-1 2. And another paper presents the results of experimental studies and analysis of the absorption spectra of pure NH3 in the range 6547 - 6552 cm-1 at room temperature and pressure range 0-0.04 atm 3.

We propose using wavelength-modulation laser absorption spectroscopy in combination with quadrature detection of scattered light for remote industrial pollution monitoring in the atmosphere with a compact lidar-based gas sensor, which can be mounted on board an unmanned aerial vehicle. The instrument can be used for detecting leaks in product pipe lines; monitoring toxic gases near landfill sites, waste incineration plants, and other hazardous man-made facilities; analysing the gas atmosphere in industrial buildings and structures; and monitoring engineering processes at a sensitivity level of tens of ppm m in gas concentration measurements at characteristic distances of tens of metres.
