Diode 980 nm Laser Ablation of Ankyloglossia: A Case Report

Abstract: Background: Ankyloglossia “tie tongue” is a congenital anomaly, characterized by abnormal short thick lingual frenum that causes limitation of tongue movement, which results in problems in speech, mastication and patient discomfort. Laser is an alternative for conventional surgery to treat ankyloglossia.
