“…With these vinyl‐substrates, we believe that a well‐known Schwartz hydrozirconation will probably provide a novel method for immobilization of zirconocene (Scheme ). The resultant hydrozirconated surface with a ZrC σ‐bond linkage between the substrate and zirconium atom could be stable and serve as initiators for ethylene poly­merization after cationization by MAO . This work demonstrated the first example for olefin‐surface‐initiated polymerization by metallocene immobilized via hydrozirconation, which provides a new method to prepare polyolefin hybrid material by in situ polymerization.…”
