Abstract:A one-pot reaction of methyl N-aryl and N-benzylglycinates with isocyanates and DMFDMA led to 5-(dimethylamino)methylene hydantoins, which were converted into oxoaplysinopsines and parabanic acids. These compounds exhibit a high antifungal activity.
