Abstract:Two imidazole-based surface active ionic liquids (CnmimBr) were synthesized, and their aggregation behavior at the air/water interface was studied via an oscillating bubble method. The effects of the CnmimBr concentration, inorganic salts (NaBr and CaBr2), and temperature on the aggregation behavior were investigated. The results of the adsorption dynamics showed that the adsorption-controlled process dominated, but the relaxation process was not purely mono-exponential. The addition of inorganic salt or incre… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
