Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a fundamental role in the global economy. However, SMEs usually have different characteristics from larger enterprises, e.g., essential resource restrictions, lower performance, and higher environmental impacts. This requires them to search for strategies to be more competitive and sustainable. A possible solution relies on introducing Lean-Green practices. Previous research indicated that digitalization could be an enabler of Lean. Lean can also help to achieve increased environmental performance using the Lean-Green approach. In this study, this important yet under-studied area is investigated as we consider digitalization as an enabler for implementing lean in SMEs, with a focus on Lean-Green practices. A systematic literature review is executed, following a new framework based on topic modelling for extracting the papers. The topic modelling is executed through latent dirichlet allocation (LDA) which is a machine learning technique. In methodological means, this paper represents an example of the frontier of digitalization for research activities. Regarding the investigated focus, the main findings revealed that digitalization is an enabler to Lean and to Lean-Green. As digitalization supports information sharing, it consequently fosters performance measurement systems, improvements, and value chain integration.

A Value Stream Mapping in Advanced Management Systems

All efforts in advanced management systems should maximize value for the customer. One effective way to identify and realize this value is to map the product's flow from end customer to a supplier by visualizing the value streams of individual processes. This paper aims to analyse and propose the introduction of a lean value stream in vacuum pump assembly to achieve increased production output. Vacuum technology is the field of engineering concerned with creating and using a vacuum. It, therefore, deals with an environment in which the gas pressure is lower than the atmospheric pressure. A vacuum pump is a gas pump that extracts air from an enclosed space to create a vacuum. The basic parameters are the vacuum level achieved and the pumping speed. Several design solutions are available that meet the aforementioned basic parameters. A turbomolecular pump was selected for this study. The incentive to improve the material and information flow on the vacuum pump assembly line is the significant increase in orders from the customer. The technique used is production value stream mapping. Following the output of the Value Stream Mapping (VSM), a change plan is determined to optimize the assembly process, which will positively influence the future state of the value stream to meet the customer's requirements.

Salah satu faktor yang menganggu proses produksi adalah adana permasalahan pada mesin atau alat yang digunakan. PT. Mitrapak Eramandiri meruapakan perusahaan subcontractor yang memproduksi produk sabun pencuci piring atau gelas dan dalam produksinya didukung kebanyakan dengan mesin bekas yang berasal dari perusahaan lain sehingga tidak jarang terjadi kerusakan pada mesin saat proses produksi. Mesin tersebut adalah mesin yaitu maspack (automatic rool bag pouch) yaitu mesin untuk membuat kemasan packaging Mesin-mesin tersebut adalah mesin maspack (automatic rool bag pouch) yaitu mesin untuk membuat kemasan packaging. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menentukan nilai efektivitas dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang harus diperbaiki dari six big losses yang paling dominan dengan menggunakan strategi perbaikan FMEAHasil penelitian didapatkan nilai rata- rata OEE yaitu 69,81, nilai rata- rata avaibility ratio yaitu 82,30, performance ratio yaitu 86,78%, quality ratio yaitu 97,76%. Pada analisa six big rata- rata losses pada perusahaan terbesar terdapat pada Equipment Failure yaitu sebesar 12,60% dengan nilai RPN sebesar 168, kemudian Idle & Minor Stoppage Losses yaitu sebesar 11,44% dengan nilai RPN sebesar 175, Setup & Adjustment Losses yaitu sebesar 5,10% dengan nilai RPN sebesar 150.
