Digitalization of Communication and New Media Education in Communication Faculties

Abstract

ÖZBilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinde yaşanan hızlı değişim ve gelişmeler, internet ve yeni medyayı toplumsal yaşamın önemli bir parçası haline getirmiştir. Bu değişim ve gelişime paralel olarak yeni ihtiyaçlar gündeme gelmiştir. Bu ihtiyaçlardan biri de "yeni medya" eğitimidir. Yeni medya teknolojilerini daha etkili ve verimli kullanabilen kalifiye eleman yetiştirmek amacıyla, geleneksel medya üzerine verilen eğitimin yanı sıra dünyada ve Türkiye'de 'yeni medya eğitimi' veren üniversitelerin sayısı her geçen gün artmaktadır. Bu gelişmelerden yola çıkılarak yapılan bu çalışma, Türkiye'de yeni medya alanındaki eğitim ihtiyacını ortaya çıkaran teknolojik süreçler ve iletişim fakültelerinin yeni medya eğitimi verme yönündeki eğilimlerini ortaya koymak ve yeni medya bölümü mezunlarının iş imkânları hakkında bilgi vermek amacı doğrultusunda hazırlanmıştır.
