Introduction: The development of virtualization tools, which rapidly unfolded in the 1990s, continues to demonstrate a dynamic trajectory. Modern solutions in this area have significantly evolved and diversified. The relevance of the stated issues in the era of Covid-19 has received an even deeper interpretation.Purpose: This review analyzes articles on virtualization published during the pandemic years with the aim of identifying virtualization development trends.Materials and Methods: We conducted a keyword search in the Scopus database. The focus was on articles published in English from December 2019 to December 2022. The authors followed an expanded PRISMA-ScR protocol. The search identified 164 articles, of which 131, based on their title and abstract, were marked as relevant.Results: The selected articles were classified by year of publication, type of publication, country of publication, area of virtualization, mention of Covid-19, and type of virtualization. The articles included in our review indicate that virtualization had already been integrated into all spheres of life before Covid-19. However, the pandemic caused a surge, which accelerated its implementation in various areas, ranging from education and medicine to smart cities and computer technologies.Conclusion: The presented review of the subject area allowed us to identify sectors of public life that significantly influenced virtualization during the Covid19 years, as well as the most actively developing forms of virtualization, in particular, those that allow segregating computational processes and resources. It was recorded that modern solutions in the field of virtualization have significantly diversified compared to previous years and can be classified into separate categories.

In the dynamic landscape of educational information technology, the proficiency of vocational college teachers in this domain has garnered significant attention due to its rapid evolution. The purpose of this study is to comprehensively explore the foundational aspects of vocational college teachers' competence in information technology instruction. The primary objective is to augment these teachers’ capabilities and foster their professional growth in the realm of information technology teaching. The six pivotal elements rooted in TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) are analysed using a literature-based approach. These elements encompass technological knowledge, content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, technological pedagogical knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, and technological pedagogical content knowledge. The findings illustrate the distinctive contribution of each element to the information technology teaching competence of vocational college teachers, thereby facilitating their holistic professional development. The nuanced enhancement of these competency indicators equips teachers to adeptly navigate the demands of information technology instruction, cultivates their professional prowess, and enables them to deliver the highest-quality educational services. Geoinformation technologies are an important element of professional education for future geographers and are widely used in their training program, at the same time geoinformation technologies depend on the participants` technical support in the educational process, both in full-time education and distance learning. The article examines the specifics of the application of geoinformation technologies in the organization of distance learning on the example of certain disciplines of the curriculum of future geography specialists. The article identifies the advantages and disadvantages of distance learning on the example of the disciplines “Fundamentals of Geoinformatics” and “Cartography and GIS” studied by the students of the Department of Physical Geography and Efficient Environmental Management of the Faculty of Geography at Uzhhorod National University. The absolute advantages of this studying format for teachers are the ability to freely choose the necessary materials, academic mobility and a fundamentally new educational space. Students have the opportunity to master new disciplines in more comfortable conditions for them and in compliance with the principles of equality. At the same time, distance learning involves a wide application of an individual approach to each student, taking into account, in particular, the hardware and software necessary to work with GIS technologies. The main disadvantages of distance learning of the academic disciplines “Fundamentals of Geoinformatics” and “Cartography and GIS” are considered. The most problematic issue for all participants of the educational process is the technical and software support at home. The process of providing students with a licensed software product taking into account different levels of hardware (personal computers, laptops, tablets) is also resource-intensive. The lack of a social environment for students is another disadvantage of distance education. Ways and means of overcoming the indicated shortcomings of distance learning of the disciplines “Fundamentals of Geoinformatics” and “Cartography and GIS” using the geographic information system ArcGIS are proposed. While forming the structure of the educational process it is necessary to solve the problem of hardware and software, form the information content of the courses and provide access to it. Google services and the Moodle platform can play an important role here.
