Digital Transformation at Universities: Global Trends and Vietnam’s Chances

Abstract

In recent years, digital transformation is no longer a new concept to scholars in the world and Vietnam. Digital transformation has a far-reaching impact, covering all industries and socio-economic level, and directly affecting enterprises' business performance, such as improving productivity, profits and cost reduction. It also affects the long-term performance indicators of enterprises, contributing to improving the country's competitiveness (Microsoft, 2018).Digital transformation is considered the current inevitable trend for enterprises, organizations, and the state. This trend forces businesses, organizations, and governments to revolutionize their approach to operations, product and service delivery, marketing efforts, and every other aspect of their organizations. In the context of globalization of higher education, universities enter the global competition.
