Digital supply chain to unlock new agility: a TISM approach

Abstract: PurposeTraditional supply chain arrangements have failed to keep up with escalating customer demands and breakthrough innovations. The way forward is a flexible yet innovative network that leverages ecosystem partners and digital tools to unlock new agility. The paper aims at identifying and analyzing numerous critical success factors (CSFs) that may improve the efficiency of a digital supply chain.Design/methodology/approachTwelve CSFs are identified in this paper through an extensive literature survey. “…Digital transformation of characteristic parameters and factors, used for step-by-step assessment of interrelated related production and technological capital repairs of operating oil wells and transport and logistics processes by iterating to the minimum transport costs, with full and timely transport support for the process of capital repairs of operating oil wells, makes it possible to optimize it and bring it closer to the optimal scheme of transport services. [7] 4. To create a rational and efficient transport scheme for servicing the transport space of the resource-mining complex when delivering cargo to the object, the Floyd algorithm can be applied using a sequence of n iterations of the initial matrix.…”

“…The literature affirms that Industry 4.0 initiatives yield economic benefits, mainly due to the reduction of costs (particularly operating and labour costs), the increase of productivity and efficiency and the enhancement of customer satisfaction by reducing lead time and improving shipping and information accuracy, responsiveness and product customisation (Hofmann and R€ usch, 2017;Barreto et al, 2017;Edirisuriya et al, 2018;Strandhagen et al, 2017;Majeed and Impact of Logistics 4.0 Rupasinghe, 2017;Nikoli ci c et al, 2015;Ghadge et al, 2020;Ejsmont et al, 2020;Ghobakhloo, 2020;Bai et al, 2020;Wu et al, 2021;Queiroz et al, 2019;Bag et al, 2020a;Salam, 2019;Choudhury et al, 2021;Dubey et al, 2019a). Majeed and Rupasinghe (2017), for example, discuss the implementation of RFID technology by Walmart and Procter and Gamble, showing that revenue can increase considerably with the reduction of inventory, the improvement of service and the reduction of administrative expenses that result from the redesign of a business process.…”

“…The systematic literature revealed that agility is an advanced capability which allows different industries to gain competitive advantage and sustain their performance in the long term [12,[131][132][133][134]. It is also confirmed that companies want to build their agility capability through adopting Industry 4.0 technologies [135][136][137].…”
