Digital evaluation of sitting posture comfort in human-vehicle system under industry 4.0 framework

Abstract: Most of the previous studies on the vibration ride comfort of the human-vehicle system were focused only on one or two aspects of the investigation. This paper proposed a hybrid approach which integrates all kinds of investigation methods in real environment and virtual environment. The real experimental environment includes the WBV (whole body vibration) test, questionnaires for human subjective sensation and motion capture. The virtual experimental environment includes the theoretical calculation on simplifi… Show more

“…Overall, the reviewed studies dealt with small sample sizes of less than twenty participants, with the exception of Tao et al [ 56 ], Muller et al [ 38 ] and Hallman et al [ 74 ] who recruited 29, 42 and 625 participants, respectively. Eighteen, 13 and 8 studies placed IMU sensors on the upper, full and lower body, respectively, while six authors attached IMUs on machinery ( Table 8 ).…”

“…Sitting is generally divided into screen time, social time and other forms of sitting. In the group of sedentary office workers, the earliest uncomfortable sitting position may appear in 45 minutes [8] .Sitting for more than an hour is more likely to cause physical weakness in older people [9] . The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends no more than 90 minutes of sitting.…”

“…In the extrusion crushing stage, because the driving direction of the gauge cutter and the installation direction have a certain angle, the contact part of the cutter and the rock can be seen as the wedge edge, as shown in Figure 10. Therefore, the crushed rock area is calculated as follows: (27)…”

“…Huo et al [23][24][25][26] studied on the vibration of the TBM cutter head and the fatigue damage of the cutter head under the multi space load. Tao et al [27] described a hybrid approach that integrates all kinds of investigation methods in real and virtual environments to evaluate the sitting posture comfort in a human-vehicle system. Wang et al [28] proposed a novel wheel rum center method to evaluate suspension performance.…”
