Diffractive production of two ρ0 L mesons in e+e- collisions

Abstract: We present an estimate of the cross-section for the exclusive production of a ρ 0 L -meson pair in e + e − scattering, which will be studied in the future high energy International Linear Collider. For this aim, we complete calculations of the Born order approximation of the amplitudes γ * L,for arbitrary polarization of virtual photons and longitudinally polarized mesons, in the kinematical region s ≫ −t, Q 2 1 , Q 2 2 . These processes are completely calculable in the hard region Q 2 1 , Q 2 2 ≫ Λ 2 QCD and … Show more

“…On the experimental side, the future Electron-Ion Collider [97] and Large Hadron Electron Collider [98] with a high center-of-mass energy and high luminosities, as well as the International Linear Collider [99][100][101] will hopefully open the opportunity to study in more detail the hard diffractive production of mesons [91][92][93][102][103][104][105][106] …”

“…The techniques developed in Refs. [33][34][35] cannot be applied here due to the very elaborated topology of the most complicated diagrams involved (square box with one additional diagonal line). Instead we rely on a numerical evaluation by Monte Carlo methods.…”

“…The description of double vector meson production in γ γ interactions at high energies has attracted the attention of several theoretical groups in the last years, with the cross section being estimated in different theoretical frameworks [60,61,[63][64][65][69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76][77][78][79][80], as, for instance, the solution of the BFKL equation and impact factors at leading and next-toleading orders. In particular, in Ref.…”
