Purpose. The aim of the research is mathematical analysis and forecasting of dispersive soils behaviour based on the study of inclinometric observations data in the area of the natural-technical system of the Dnister PSPP. Methodology. The research methodology is based on mathematical analysis and modelling of processes occurring in the mountain massif on which the Dnister PSPP is located, using the finite element method. Results. The paper presents an analysis of the results of geotechnical monitoring of the behaviour of dispersive soils, implemented on the basis of inclinometric measurements on the territory of the Dnister PSPP. Quantitative parameters of horizontal displacement distribution in inclinometric wells are established. They made it possible to detect negative dynamics in the geological horizons N1-2ap and N1p+v, which is apparently caused by technogenic load caused by the Dnister upper reservoir. The behaviour of dispersive soils under the influence of natural and technogenic loads has been modelled. Based on the simulation results, the change of the sign of deformations under the influence of additional load, which can be the filling of the Dnister upper reservoir, is confirmed. Obviously, the use of this method alone does not allow full detecting and tracking modern geological, seismic and geodynamic processes. A combination and detailed analysis of different monitoring methods (geophysical, geodetic, parametric, vibrometric, hydrogeological, temperature, visual-instrumental and others), as well as modelling the behaviour of the object under the influence of natural and technogenic factors is optimal. Such simulations could be used in the design of other objects of this type, so this is a promising area for further research. Originality. For the first time, a mathematical analysis and forecasting of the behaviour of dispersed soils in the area of the natural and technical system of the Dnister PSPP was conducted on the basis of studying the data of inclinometric observations. Practical significance. The proposed technique can be used in the design of other objects of this type, as modelling the behaviour of the object under the influence of natural and technogenic factors makes it possible to assess possible risks and prevent them.

We present the crustal deformation field in the Penola Strait – Lemaire Channel fault area (West Antarctica), based on the analysis of the 5 seasonal cycles of static GNSS survey. This 5 GNSS campaigns were conducted with approximately a 16-year interval from 2003 to 2019. The analyses indicate that average linear velocities of horizontal movements are multidirectional but no larger than 1 – 2 mm/yr. Average linear velocities of vertical movements are no larger than ±3 mm/yr. In the present work scheme of vertical and horizontal movements has been drawn out. The obtained results correlate well with the movements of the surrounding GNSS stations. Based on the analysis of spatial distribution of the Earth’s surface dilatation velocity the zones of extreme compression and expansion values were revealed. The analyses of spatial distribution of the Earth’s surface total shear velocity indicate that the studied region is horizontally heterogeneous. Based on the analysis of obtained results, a new kinematic model of fault area was developed. The possibility of using static GNSS survey to study recent local geodynamic processes in Antarctica has been demonstrated.

Remote monitoring technology is a mandatory component of the crop management concept. The available solutions allow determining the presence of plant stress but not identifying its causes. A particular danger is presented by stresses of a technological nature, and chemical poisoning of plants due to the aftereffect of herbicides, compaction of the subsoil, and the like. Plant stresses of a technological nature lead to a decrease in plant immunity and, accordingly, special measures are needed to restore their productivity. Laboratory methods for analyzing stress, in particular, chemical poisoning of plants, are technologically complex and expensive, which prevents their widespread use. Remote sensing technologies are capable of identifying areas with manifestations of technological stresses since such stresses have characteristic features. As our studies have shown, a promising method for identifying plant areas with signs of technological stress is the method of leaf diagnostics. For such areas, it is necessary to carry out monitoring with the highest image resolution, it is assumed in the UAV flight program. Taking into account the above, the aim of the work was to develop an algorithm and software for its implementation of UAV flight planning for the identification of plant stresses of a technological nature. The software was developed in the cross-platform programming language Python, and it allowed processing maps of the distribution of vegetation indices (for experimental studies, maps were used that were created using the Slantrange spectral sensor system). The use of the algorithm, implemented in the cross-platform programming language Python, made it possible to identify the paths of movement of technological equipment, the contours of areas with close values of the vegetation index, and the main features of areas with plant stress of a technological nature. The accuracy of identifying areas with technological stresses has been confirmed by ground surveys in production fields.
