Differentially expressed proteins identified by TMT proteomics analysis in children with verrucous epidermal naevi

Abstract: Background Verrucous epidermal naevi (VEN) are benign skin tumours, considered keratinocytic epidermal naevi, that appear at birth or early childhood. VEN may display a range of appearances, depending on patient age. Although the number of studies regarding VEN is increasing, the exact mechanism of VEN is still unknown. Objectives The aim of this study was to analyse the changes in the expression of protein factors in lesions of VEN children by TMT labelling-based quantitative proteomics. Methods A total of 8 ch… Show more

“…To identify ENST00000370438 regulated proteins, we determined the differences in the proteomic profile between BC cells transfected with control and ENST00000370438 siRNAs using liquid chromatography‐tandem mass spectrometry (LC‐MS/MS) as previously described 24 . Next, we performed bioinformatics analysis.…”

Differentially expressed proteins between two groups were determined using the Wilcoxon test, and the threshold values were set as p < 0.05 and 1.3-fold change.…”

“…Recently, TMT (tandem mass tag)-labeling proteomic analysis has been recommended as a dependable method for accurately quantifying relative protein levels in complex samples due to its technical strengths such as good sensitivity, reproducibility, and signal-to-noise ratio [ 11 , 12 ]. Ample studies have employed this method to discover potential biomarkers that are closely correlated to the phenotypes of diseases including NAFLD [ 10 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 ].…”

“…Synthesis of Cr2AlC ternary compositions can be done in bulk form by hot pressing, spark plasma sintering, and pressureless sintering [10,11]. Cr2AlC has also been produced as thin films [12][13][14][15] by magnetron sputtering from elemental or composite targets.…”

“…During the synthesis of Cr2AlC ternary carbides, both in bulk form and thin films, the formation of secondary phases [11,[17][18][19][20][21] like Cr2Al, Al8Cr5, Cr7C3, and γ -Cr2AlC have been reported. In the case of the bulk Cr2AlC [10,11,[22][23][24], the crystallinity variations were attributed partially to synthesis parameters like temperature and homogeneity of raw powder mixtures. It is well known that the formation of various phases in Cr2AlC is not too dissimilar to all MAX phase family of materials and it is well known.…”
