Abstract:Gravely infestation of tomato fields by Broomrape (Phelipanche ramosa) is growing in the Mediterranean basin. Completely devoid of chlorophyll, the root-parasite is entirely dependent on the host-derives and successively competes with the sink organs of infected plants.
