Different Methods of Partitioning the Phase Space of a Dynamic System

Abstract: In symbolic dynamics, the definition of a symbolic sequence from a continuous times series depends on the use of an appropriate partition of the phase space. In fact, the best way is to estimate a generating partition. However, it is not possible to find generating partitions for most experimental observations because such partitions do not exist when noise is present. In this paper, different partition methods applied to stochastic and chaotic system will be compared in order to choose one which conserves sys… Show more

“…Despiking is an advanced technique that relies on creating a spiky basis than projecting investigated signal on spiky model [3], resulting signal is pure interictal gamma oscillations [8]. In a second step, a spatio temporal analysis is applied to elucidate time of incoming seizure and responsible EZ.…”

“…There is Software capable to inspect both invasive and non invasive registration, other for anatomical images. For epileptic biomarker, spiky events present the highest analyzed biomarker in epilepsy for decades [7,8], but recently studies are oriented to oscillatory events from low gamma to very high gamma HFO [5]. Studying epileptic oscillatory events depends straightly on type of used registration, since HFO are much more seen in SEEG than in non invasive technique.…”

“…Structure-function modelling is used in this paper, to determine the states of the system in order to adequately track the system trajectory because each element of the Markov partitions can be viewed to correspond to a system state in the Markov process in a geometrical space [14], [32]- [34]. Let = [ , ] to define the partition, and let : → .…”
