“…This was surprising because apoLp-III is considered as a PRR molecule capable of interacting with various PAMPs, e.g., LTAs, LPS and β-1,3-glucan, which are components of the cell walls of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi. The ability of apoLp-III to bind to the conidia of different filamentous fungi, including A. niger , yeast cells, as well as cells of different Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria has been demonstrated [ 65 , 66 , 67 , 68 , 69 , 70 , 71 ].…”

“…Apolipophorin III, occurring in a diversity of insect species, increases the capacity of lipophorins to bind the lipid for delivery, and thereby facilitates energy generation. In Galleria mellonella , Chinese oak silkworm and Tribolium castaneum , apoLp‐III played crucial role in lipid transport and immune response against bacteria, fungi, mosquito, and Bacillus thuringiensis toxic protein (Gupta et al., ; Liu et al., ; Zdybicka‐Barabas, Sowa‐Jasiłek, Stączek, Jakubowicz, & Cytryńska, ). Thus, reduced expression of apolipophorins was likely to indicate lower lipolytic activity and reduced resistance in COTI‐fed insects.…”

“…Besiyeri (100 g) olarak 22 g buğday unu, 22 g buğday kepeği, 11 g süt tozu, 5.5 g kuru maya, 17 g mum, 11 mL gliserol ve 11 mL bal karışımı kullanıldı. Larvalardan 0.33 g ağırlığında, rengi kremsi ve 2-3 cm uzunluğunda olanlar çalışmaya dahil edildi [6][7][8] . G.mellonella yaşam döngüsü Şekil 1'de gösterildi.…”
