“…A single center study from the University of Virginia that tracked pulmonary function testing (PFT) following admission for COVID pneumonia reported persistent PFT abnormalities at the 6 months follow‐up in about a fifth of all patients, 4 whereas investigators from Sweden found that mild to moderate cases of COVID‐19 did not result in significant PFT changes in young adults, regardless of preexisting asthma, inhaled steroid, or bronchodilator use 5 .
