Differences between genetic dilated cardiomyopathy and myocarditis in children presenting with severe cardiac dysfunction.

Abstract: Background Acute myocarditis is an inflammatory disease of the myocardium, and it can present as severe heart failure in children. Differential diagnosis with genetic cardiomyopathy can be difficult.
