“…2 Performance of the cross-handed laparoscopic surgery task was perceived as more mentally and physically demanding (measured using the SURG-TLX scale; Wilson et al (2011) (Malhotra et al, 2015;Pelz, 2000;Sim & Kim, 2010).…”

“…There was no difference in time-to-contact between the novices and experts (Sim & Kim, 2010). Given the results of these studies, it is unclear whether the optimal way to modulate putt distance is via alterations in backswing length, downswing acceleration or some combination of the two.…”

“…Paradisis and Rees (2000) reported low handicap golfers had a proportionally smaller backswing and follow-through, less vertical displacement during the backswing and achieved maximum clubhead velocity more consistently at ball contact than high handicap golfers when putting a distance of 2.46-m. Five expert golfers achieved higher accuracy with lower impact velocity than five novice golfers when using two putter weights (500 g, 750 g) over three putt distances (1.7-m, 3.25-m, 6-m) (Sim & Kim, 2010). Novices showed symmetrical movements, while experts exhibited more asymmetry in their movements as a result of modulating their relative timing, relative amplitude and velocity of their putting stroke differently from novices.…”

“…The movement during putting mainly 3 consists of movement of the arms and club in a pendulum way. During putting, the club head velocity must be 4 accurately adjusted to the distance from target [27]. Club head velocity is a resultant of backswing amplitude and 5 downswing duration.…”
