Difference Analysis Between Canine Adenovirus Types 1 And 2

Abstract: Canine adenoviruses (CAdVs) include type 1 (CAdV-1, virulent strain) and type 2 (CAdV-2, attenuated strain). In recent years, the incidences of CAdV infections are increasing. However, they are difficult to distinguish when the symptoms are untypical. It is pivotal to find the differences between the two virus types for scientific, epidemiological, and specific treatment. CAdV-1 (virulent strain) and CAdV-2 (attenuated strain) induced canine hepatitis (ICH) and tracheobronchitis (ITB), respectively, but the cl… Show more

“…There is also a core protein bound to virion DNA. The virion nucleic acid is represented by a double-helical linear DNA molecule of about 30,500 bp, which encodes orf 1-orf 30 proteins [5,6]. In the genome of canine infectious hepatitis virus of genotype CAV-1, various conserved regions are identified, in particular, the gene responsible for the synthesis of orf 16 protein (positions in the genome 16757...19474 bp).…”

“…The MLV inoculum may contain adventitious infectious agents that allow PRRSV to circulate throughout the herd and spread to other herds ( Mengeling, 2005a ; Mengeling, 2005b ). Moreover, a risk of viral shedding after immunization with live attenuated vaccines has been found, leading to latent infection in healthy animals ( Zhu et al., 2022 ). High safety is the characteristic of inactivated vaccine.…”
