Dietary Protein and Gut Microbiota Composition and Function

Abstract: Dietary protein and its metabolites, amino acids, are essential nutrients for humans and animals. Accumulated research has revealed that the gut microbiota mediate the crosstalk between protein metabolism and host immune response.
