Dielectric spectroscopy study of the new compound [C12H17N2]2CdCl4

Abstract: The temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity of the compound 2,4,4-trimethyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-benzo[b] [1,4] diazepin-1-ium tetrachlorocadmiate in the different phases follows the Arrhenius law. The imaginary part of the permittivity constant is analyzed with the Cole-Cole formalism. In the temperature range 348-394 K, the activation energy of conductivity obtained from complex permittivity in regions I and II are, respectively, 1.03 and 0.33 eV, and E m (in regions I and II are, respectively, 0.97 … Show more

“…• The cohesion of organic layer is assured by van der Waals interaction between aromatic -stacking ( Fig. 1) [10]. In this paper we report the results of the simulation of the complex impedance by an equivalent circuit and ac conductivity measurements as related to the conduction mechanism in the temperature range 343-402 K and the frequency range 209 Hz-5 MHz for [C 12 H 17 N 2 ] 2 CdCl 4 compound.…”

“…During the last decades, inorganic-organic hybrid materials have attracted much attention owing to their special structural features and potential applications derived from their optical [1,2], electronic [3,4], and ferroelectric properties [5,6]. Among these compounds, halide-transition metal complexes, such as halocuprates, have drawn growing interest because of their structural flexibility, magnetic properties related to the interionic distances between the [MX n ] yanions (M=metal, X=halogen), and the properties of the cations [7,8].…”

“…In recent years, a novel type of organic‐inorganic hybrid material has attracted wide attention . They combine the advantageous properties characteristic of inorganic skeletons (e.g., favorable carrier mobility, excellent thermal stability) with those of organic materials (e.g., ease of processing, admirable fluorescence efficiency and large polarizability).…”
