Dielectric Properties of Mg-Doped Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3Ceramic Sintered at a Low Temperature with Li2O Additve

Abstract: Dielectric properties of Mg-doped Ba 0.6 Sr 0.4 TiO 3 ceramics with the aid of Li 2 O have been investigated. 3.0wt% Li 2 O additive samples can be sintered at 900 • C for 4h and sintering temperature remarkably decrease. Phase and microstructure of these samples were analyzed using XRD and SEM. Results show no obvious secondary phase and decreased grain-size as MgO content increased. Dielectric constant is decreased and the Curie temperature is shifted to low temperature and the peaks are suppressed and broad… Show more

“…Moreover, different substituents for lattice sites (Ba and Ti) can be used for tailoring its properties. Isovalent ions (like Zr 4 þ , Sn 4 þ , Mn 4 þ for Ti 4 þ and Pb 2 þ , Sr 2 þ , Ca 2 þ for Ba 2 þ ) and aliovalent ions (like Mn 3 þ , Nb 5 þ , Fe 3 þ for Ti 4 þ and Sm 3 þ ,La 3 þ , Pr 3 þ , Gd 3 þ for Ba 2 þ ) can result in modification of properties making it useful for various applications like MLCC, PTCR, FRAMS, and sensors [3][4][5][6][7][8]. For the present study, a BT-based composition with formula Ba 1 À x Pb x Ti0 .90 Zr 0.10 O 3 (0 rx r0.20, in steps of 0.05) was selected.…”
