Dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of Ca0.1Sr0.9Bi2Nb2O9 ceramic

Abstract: Ca x Sr 1-x Bi 2 Nb 2 O 9 , as one of Aurivillius ceramics, was prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction study showed that the ceramic possess a pure structure and no secondary phase can be detected. The scanning electron microscopy indicates that the grains of all the samples are all welldefined, but no obvious impact on the size of the ceramics. The dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of the Ca 0.1 Sr 0.9 Bi 2 Nb 2 O 9 were investigated and found that t… Show more

“…Meanwhile, it is obvious that the highest diffraction peak in KCSNBT-x ceramics corresponds to the (1011) orientation, which is consistent with the fact that it is the strongest diffraction peak in BLSFs. 16 In addition to the main Aurivillius phase, secondary phase Bi 2 Ti 2 O 7 (PDF#no. 32-0118, labeled by *) in the KCSNBT-x samples can also be detected regardless of the existence of (KCe), as shown in Fig.…”

“…1,2 Bismuth layer structure Ferroelectric (BLSF) ceramics have been investigated because of their high Curie temperature (T c ), lower dielectric loss, excellent fatigue properties and short aging rates. [3][4][5][6][7] Among BLSFs, SBN has received special attention because it retains its structure even after doping compared to other Arivullius oxides of the bismuth layer. 8,9 SBN has a typical bismuth layer structure in which blocks of perovskite (SrNb 2 O 7 ) 2− , made up of double octahedra of NbO 6 are interwoven with layers of (Bi 2 O 2 ) 2+ .…”
