Die Bedeutung von additiven und nicht‐additiven Mutationseffekten beim Protein‐Engineering

Abstract: Additiv oder nicht‐additiv, das ist die Frage: Die zunehmende Zahl von Berichten über kooperative nicht‐additive Mutationseffekte im Protein‐Engineering liefert neue theoretische und praktische Erkenntnisse. Insbesondere die gerichtete Evolution stereoselektiver Enzyme als Katalysatoren in der organischen Chemie und Biotechnologie profitiert von dieser faszinierenden Entwicklung.
