Die Anbindung der Ukraine an Europas Stromsystem Zwischen technischen Details und harter Geopolitik

Abstract: Es ist zu erwarten, dass Russland den Erdgastransit durch die Ukraine zum Ende des laufenden Vertrages 2024 einstellen oder zumindest drastisch reduzieren wird. Für die Ukraine ergeben sich daraus drei Herausforderungen. Erstens muss sie die vollständige Erdgasversorgung des Binnenmarktes gewährleisten. Zweitens muss sie den Wegfall von Transiteinnahmen in Milliardenhöhe kompensieren. Drittens muss das veraltete und ohne den Transit überdimensionierte Pipelinesystem modernisiert und angepasst werden.
