det. Modern Analytical Methods and their Problems in the Detergent-ChemistryThe infrared-spectroscopy and gas-chromatography are gaining more and more significance in the analysis of detergents. The application of the methods are illustrated by examples. The special significance of IR-and gc-analysis is the possibility of the combination of these methods with other chemical and physical procedures, under which the splitting of hydriodide acid for the analysis of hydroxy-ethylated compounds, and [he analysis of anionactive, cationactive and nonionic substances with the help of ion-exdangers are described in details.
