Did the Yangsan Fault in a stable continent region move continuously during the Holocene?

Abstract: <p>The Korean Peninsula is more than 400 km away from passive plate margins and considered a stable continent region. However, it has suffered from damaging earthquakes in the last 20 years. There are two major North–North East tectonic faults in the region: the Chugaryong fault running from Wonsan through Seoul to the west coast and the Yangsan fault in the southeastern part of the peninsula.
