Abstract:In nine children epileptic seizures were treated with Diazepam given intrarectally. A total of forty one epileptic crisis occurred in these children and were evaluated for this study. In all patients seizures were controlled in a mean time of 3.2 minutes considering the best response and 3.9 minutes averaging all forty one treatments; seizures treated five minutes or earlier after their start were controlled faster than those treated later.
