DialBetics

Abstract: Numerous diabetes-management systems and programs for improving glycemic control to meet guideline targets have been proposed, using IT technology. But all of them allow only limited-or no-real-time interaction between patients and the system in terms of system response to patient input; few studies have effectively assessed the systems' usability and feasibility to determine how well patients understand and can adopt the technology involved. DialBetics is composed of 4 modules: (1) data transmission module, (… Show more

“…In studies that provided automated feedbacks [18,27,30,37], heterogeneity was reduced to 0.0% and difference between groups was -0.50% (95% CI [-0.72, -0.28], P < .001). In unclear group [8,12,16,19,29,33,36], difference in HbA1c outcomes was not significant as P = .61 > .05. Overall test for heterogeneity between subgroups had a p value of 0.001, indicating statistically significant difference between groups ( figure 3C).…”

“…In the group of x ≤ 3 months [11,21,23,27,33,34,36], heterogeneity across studies was 28.5% and the pooled WMD was -0.45% (95% CI [-0.62, -0.28], P < .001).…”
