Diagnostic and prognostic value of procalcitonin among febrile critically ill patients with prolonged ICU stay

Abstract: Background: Procalcitonin (PCT) has been proposed as a diagnostic and prognostic sepsis marker, but has never been validated in febrile patients with prolonged ICU stay.
