Diagnosis of vocal fold paresis: Current opinion and practice

Abstract: Surveyed expert laryngologists diagnose vocal fold paresis predominantly on stroboscopic examination. Gross motion abnormalities had the highest positive predictive value. Laryngeal electromyography was infrequently used to assess for vocal fold paresis.
