“…The leading causes of labral tears are FAI syndrome, trauma, dysplasia, capsular laxity, and degeneration that produce significant shear forces, eventually leading to failure of the labrum. 11 Patients will often report clicking or popping, and left untreated will contribute to the development of hip osteoarthirtis. 11,12 Clinical manifestations Patients with symptomatic hip OA report an insidious onset of pain during prolonged standing, walking, squatting, and crossing their legs.…”

“…Низкою досліджень встановлено, що губа збільшує суглобову поверхню приблизно на 22 %, а об'єм суглобової западини -на 33 % [2]. Крім того, губа створює вакуум, що ускладнює вивих стегна й утримує синовіальну рідину в центральному компартменті, запобігаючи ранньому розвитку артрозу [9].…”

“…3,7 With respect to the etiology of labral tears, labral degeneration has been cited as a cause. 2 The presence of severe degeneration of the acetabular labrum may influence intraoperative decision-making, as labrums with severe degeneration may not be suitable candidates for labral repair. 8 While labral degeneration has been associated with increased pain and lower hip function preoperatively, 9 the postoperative outcomes of patients who present with labral degeneration are not well-documented in the literature.…”
