Diagnosis and Treatment of Bowed, Misalign, and Eccentric Rotor Trains

Abstract: The intention of this paper is to demonstrate the advantages and the economic benefits of vibration root cause analysis and diagnosis, proper treatment of rotors during service outage, and follow up after commissioning of the units versus the general industry approach of field balance all vibration problems. During the course of the paper several diagnostic tools and repair procedures will be introduced and discussed.
