“…Crinell and Lane (1958) described lymph node metastases in 3 of 28 malignant polyps. Klein and Scarborough (1952) report 5 pedunculated polypoid carcinomata with metastases and it seems that this is the point at which agreement may not be reached by pathologists. The terms used here are those of the individual pathologists and there seems no doubt that the polypoid carcinoma is more likely to metastasize than the pedunculated malignant adenoma.…”
