Diagnosing and Managing Clinically Silent Lupus Nephritis and Anti-neutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody-Associated Vasculitis Overlap Syndrome: A Clinical Challange

Abstract: Lupus nephritis is typically associated with anti-nuclear antibodies and anti-double-stranded DNA antibodies resulting in the intrarenal immune complex deposition. Levels of anti-double-stranded DNA antibodies reflect disease activity in these patients. With negative anti-double-stranded DNA antibodies, establishing a diagnosis of lupus nephritis is difficult.
