In addition, dexlansoprazole MR significantly increased the percentage of nights that patients diagnosed with symptomatic NERD were heartburn‐free compared to placebo (median of 73% vs. 36%, p < .001) when administered daily, in the morning without regard to meals (Fass et al, 2009).
