Developments of modified magnetic nanoparticle‐supported heteropolyacid photocatalytic performances in methylene blue scavenger

Abstract: In this project, the Keggin‐type polyoxometalate, H5PMoV2O40 (denoted as PMoV), was immobilized on modified NiFe2O4 nanoparticles to produce a magnetically separable catalyst. This catalyst was characterized using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FT‐IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), energy‐dispersive X‐ray (EDX), and UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV‐DRS). The synthesized catalyst demonstrated a high photocatalytic acti… Show more

“…[89,90] As shown in Figure S12, the FT-IR spectra of compounds 1 and 2 were essentially unchanged before and after the degradation of MB, indicating that compounds 1 and 2 have stability and reusability. [91,92] Therefore, compounds 1 and 2 have potential applications in the field of sewage disposal.…”

“…A bond formation between hydroxyl groups on the surface of the magnetic component and metal ions in Keggin-type polyoxometalate took place. [306] Sulfur-doped SnFe 2 O 4 /graphene nanohybrid composites were produced via a facile low temperature solvothermal method by Jia et al Thiourea was used as the S source to prepare S-doped tin ferrite NPs with controlled sulfur concentration through a hydrothermal protocol. These nanocomposites demonstrated a much better activity in the photocatalytic degradation of chlorotetracycline in comparison to their single components.…”
