Developments in biochemistry in Applied Biology degrees

Abstract: 625th MEETING, LONDON 587 like structure) bound to many of the lectins, indicating its highly glycosylated nature. This study has indicated that there are a wide range of glycoconjugates in Leishmania and in T. criizi, and that there are considerable differences between the different strains, subspecies and zymodemes. We are currently exploiting these different lectin-binding patterns to purify membrane glycoconjugates by sequential lectin-affinity chromatography.
