Abstract:We studied the localization of angiotensinogen mRNA in rat nephron segments and the differences in angiotensinogen mRNA levels between male Sprague-Dawley rats at 6 and 12 wk of age using reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Each nephron segment of the rat kidney was microdissected.Total RNA was prepared and used in the following RT-PCR assay. The PCR products were size-fractionated by agarose gel electrophoresis, visualized with ethidium bromide staining, and identified by Southern bl… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
