“…This result is not consistent with previous data showing no significant effect of U exposure at a dose of 40 mg.L -1 on anxiety-like behavior in adult rats . We should bear in mind that the rat's biochemical system is not complete until 4 weeks after birth (Giorgi et al, 1987). This might explain the differences in some behavioral effects detected in rats exposed from birth or at adult age.…”
